How to use MidJourney Describe Function with Digital Art

Have it ever occurred to you to see an image or wallpaper, and you like it so much that you wish you had a version of that image specifically for yourself? If yes, you are in the right post! Let’s see how?!

MidJourney Have Just released a new feature called “image2text”. In this feature, you can input any photo or image to MidJourney, and it creates 4 prompts for it, from which you can create images based on that. The best part is that you can keep recreating prompts for the inputted image and get different image variations out of the prompts.

In this post, we used 15 copyrighted images, created from scratch in Photoshop and Illustrator, to test the image2text function. We have used a wide variety of wallpapers from photography, minimal, abstract, vector, etc, to test how this feature performs.

For this test, we used MidJourney 5 and high quality as settings.

Conclusion

To conclude, we can say the “image2text” function is working well. However, it depends on the image you are giving as input. Abstract images end up giving far different variations in comparison to the original. On the other hand, images with specific subject will end up with similar style of the original image. The AI will always surprise you with different variations and is always worth it to see what the MidJourney Describe “image2text” function comes up with. Also using this describe function you can get prompts and new keywords in the prompts from various style of images. Therefore you can use this new function to learn and improve your prompts for MidJourney.
